Mission Statement. http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/Media/mission.aspx
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America and Troop 13 is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. We also strive to provide the scouts with awesome experiences and a fun time, so they remain interested and active. Scouting provides unique, life-changing experiences youth can’t get anywhere else.
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is:
Courteous Kind Obedient
Vision. The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
